SAR Releases Promotional Video
Imperial, MO – The Student Air Rifle Program (SAR) is excited to release a promotional video thanks to a generous donation by Umarex USA. The video, which can be viewed on the SAR YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzaCuv04QuI, features students and teachers participating in the inaugural Missouri State SAR tournament held in December 2016.
“The most important thing about this program is that it instills in these kids respect for the equipment and the proper way of handling it so if they ever do come upon something they know what to do, versus what not to do.” Kessler, a SAR Basic Air Riflery Instructor, shared his thoughts about the program during the video.
Riker, a student from Northwest Missouri enjoyed the program and encourages other students to participate as well. “It’s a lot of fun…and the more people that do it, the better it is.”
Umarex USA, the manufacturer of the Embark Air Rifle exclusively used in SAR, donated the video. “It is exciting to see students, many of whom had not shot an air rifle before, learn the discipline of target shooting while using the Embark Air Rifle,” mentioned Richard Turner, President of Umarex USA.
Schools or organizations interested in offering the Student Air Rifle Program should contact SAR at info@studentairrifleprogram.org.
